Prentice Gate Software is focused on helping enterprises develop a data culture that includes the ubiquitous consumption and sharing of knowledge about data assets as a means of achieving higher levels of efficiency, growth, and risk mitigations.
Can we be more specific?
We could be more specific, but we won't at this time. We prefer to drive immediate value for our customers with the products 'on the shelf' rather than selling everyone on where we are going. That cuts against the typical startup approach which is to take investor money and then over-promise their way to success. We prefer to earn it and earn the right to continue producing more products.
What we will do is hint at where we are going since the mission statement itself seems pretty bodacious, bold, and brash for a company that began with a few browser extensions.
Our future plans include attempting to create nothing short of a new industry category that brings autonomy, metadata, and policy-centric intelligence together for the benefit of everyone across the enterprise. The rest will remain shrouded in mystery .... for now.
Prentice Gate Software and Prentice Gate Advisors were both founded by industry veteran John Wills.

Prentice Gate Advisors is the vehicle through which John engages with select clients for strategy, architecture, and implementation assistance. John is, by design, its only consultant.

Prentice Gate Software is a separate team composed of software industry professionals. It is not an extension of Prentice Gate Advisors or 'borrowing' consulting time to build products.
